Assistant Project Manager

About the role

Jobline Resources is hiring an Assistant Project Manager. The role covers the full management of projects so they are completed on time, within budget and meet all contractual requirements, leading and managing the project team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the project to ensure it is delivered on time, within budget and to contractual standards.
• Lead and manage the project team.
• Interpret contracts, identify contractual system requirements and deliverables, and manage the timelines for system designs and reviews.
• Analyze and define project materials and service purchases based on cost optimization and risk management.
• Coordinate, supervise and liaise daily with the project team, subcontractors, internal and external parties and customers.
• Provide regular project reports and updates to customers, internal departments and management.
• Monitor payment milestones to ensure timely billing according to the planned schedule.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Communications Engineering, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of proven project management experience on medium to large-scale infrastructure or system integration projects.
• Positive attitude, innovation, critical thinking, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Strong client-facing and internal/external communication skills; self-driven, results and customer oriented.
• Solid organization, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
• Willingness to travel overseas if required.

Required skills

• Preferred: technical experience with satellite communications networks and equipment.
• A PMP certification is a plus.
