Assistant Project Manager - Office Fit-Out / Workplace Projects

About the role

Turner & Townsend, a global professional services company with over 22,000 people in more than 60 countries, is hiring an Assistant Project Manager in Singapore for office fit-out and workplace projects. The role supports the Project Manager from design development through construction, commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the project programme, milestones, action logs, risk register and weekly progress reporting.
• Coordinate interior designers, contractors, M&E consultants, furniture suppliers, IT/AV/security teams and building management.
• Track quotations, variations, purchase orders and project budget.
• Attend site meetings, monitor progress, workmanship and outstanding defects.
• Coordinate statutory and building requirements and submissions, including Singapore fit-out providers' references to BCA, SCDF and building-management requirements.
• Coordinate electrical, lighting, data, air-conditioning/M&E, furniture and technology infrastructure before handover.
• Manage snagging and defects, testing and commissioning, as-built documentation and final handover.

Required profile

• 2-5 years' experience in commercial interiors, workplace projects, office renovation or fit-out.
• Background in a project management consultancy, design-and-build firm, commercial ID contractor, developer or corporate real-estate team.
• Experience coordinating contractors and consultants on live construction sites.
• Exposure to Singapore authority and building-management processes.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of project schedules, tender/quotation comparison, variation orders and cost tracking.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint reporting skills.
• MS Project or similar scheduling exposure is useful.
