Assistant Quantity Surveyor

About the role

Fuku is hiring an Assistant Quantity Surveyor based in Singapore (47 Pandan Loop). The role covers tender evaluation, cost control and cost estimation for construction projects, including support for ACMV (air conditioning and mechanical ventilation) design and project administration.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate tenders and quotations, and carry out quantity take-offs for project tendering
• Source and review costs from trade suppliers and subcontractors, and prepare preliminary design proposals and cost comparisons for management approval
• Produce AutoCAD drawings, read and interpret M&E drawings, and review technical standards, specifications, datasheets, calculations and drawings
• Support and provide mechanical engineering design, handle ACMV design works and project management, and advise engineers on project administration and contractual issues
• Perform basic calculations for ACMV design, including duct sizing, heat load calculations, cost estimation and detailed engineering designs
• Implement cost control measures and perform other quantity surveying tasks as assigned

Required profile

• Degree, postgraduate diploma or professional degree in Quantity Surveying, Building or equivalent
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in the construction field
• Effective communication skills with suppliers and subcontractors
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and under pressure to meet tight deadlines
