Assistant Relationship Manager (Private Client Support)

About the role

Citi is hiring an Assistant Relationship Manager in Singapore, a trainee professional role supporting a team of relationship managers. The Assistant Relationship Manager provides sales, relationship management and account opening support so the team can acquire, deepen and broaden existing and potential relationships. The role works with relationship managers, their clients and prospects, advisors, referral sources and other support groups.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver wealth management services to Citigold and Citi Private clients under the guidance of the Banker teams.
• Manage and execute client transactions across business and individual banking, credit and investment products, ensuring they meet audit and compliance standards and are completed on time.
• Take ownership of client investigations such as statement reporting issues and pricing inquiries, working with operational and middle office teams.
• Coordinate account maintenance for all products and report on WINS, including address and telephone updates, account status changes, rates and fee waivers.
• Enforce banking policies and procedures while maintaining high client satisfaction.
• Arrange and take part in client visits and service quality check-in calls, and obtain banker/client appointments to build or establish new relationships.
• Identify and document new business opportunities for referral to bankers or product specialists.
• Work proficiently with Citi applications, take part in service-related process improvements, and assess risk in line with compliance, ethics and escalation of control issues.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Previous relevant experience preferred.
• Client-facing experience and a strong background and interest in operations and compliance; previous sales referral experience.
• Knowledge of investments, banking and credit products.
