Assistant Sales & Marketing Manager

About the role

Gateway Arts is seeking a driven Assistant Sales & Marketing Manager to support ticket sales, audience development and integrated marketing campaigns that align with the organisation's strategic objectives. Reporting to the Company Manager and under the direction of the Executive Director, you will help grow the arts community while gaining leadership experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Sales & Marketing team to achieve ticket‑sales and revenue targets across productions and programmes.
• Develop and implement sales strategies, pricing models, promotional campaigns and partnership initiatives.
• Monitor performance data, forecast trends and take corrective actions to optimise results.
• Build relationships with schools, corporates, community organisations and strategic partners to increase group bookings.
• Design and execute integrated multi‑channel marketing plans (digital, social, EDMs, advertising, publicity).
• Manage campaign budgets, timelines, KPIs and post‑campaign evaluations.
• Strengthen the Gateway Arts brand through consistent communications, collateral and digital content.
• Oversee website, social media platforms and digital initiatives to boost online ticket conversions.
• Lead CRM and audience‑development efforts to expand the patron database.

Required profile

• Proven track record in sales and marketing, preferably within the arts or cultural sector.
• Commercially minded, results‑oriented and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Passion for performing arts and community engagement.
