Assistant Vice President – Sustainable Solutions (12‑month contract)

About the role

The Sustainable Solutions team at Temasek drives the decarbonisation of its portfolio by building commercial and innovation theses for emerging climate solutions. As an Assistant Vice President, you will lead the development of these theses, identify new sustainable‑living trends, and help translate them into investment opportunities over a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Research and analyse emerging climate‑related thematics and technologies.
• Develop commercial and innovation theses that support decarbonisation of portfolio companies.
• Collaborate with investment, ESG, and functional teams to integrate sustainability insights into investment decisions.
• Engage with portfolio companies to drive implementation of sustainable solutions.
• Produce reports and presentations for senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (e.g., MSc, MBA) in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, finance or a related field.
• Several years of experience in sustainability strategy, climate‑focused investment, or related advisory roles.
• Strong analytical, research and communication abilities.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally in a global investment environment.
