Assistant/Deputy Director, Product Operations (Digital Excellence)

About the role

The Government Technology Agency (GovTech) is seeking an Assistant Director / Deputy Director to lead Product Operations within its Digital Excellence & Products Division (DXD). You will be responsible for designing, implementing and scaling operational capabilities for a core digital vertical that serves parents, teachers, students or national placement services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and embed product operations practices across product teams in the assigned portfolio.
• Establish standardized processes, tools and best‑practice operating models for product delivery.
• Lead change‑management initiatives to shift teams from traditional operating approaches to modern, data‑driven practices.
• Provide operational analytics on delivery performance and user adoption to inform continuous improvement.
• Partner with business owners (e.g., schools, HQ divisions, Academy of Singapore Teachers) to align product operations with central DXD standards.
• Ensure launch readiness, operational stability and governance throughout the product lifecycle.

Required profile

• Strong ownership of operational outcomes with a systems‑thinking mindset.
• Experience driving delivery discipline and risk mitigation in digital product environments.
• Ability to translate delivery and user‑engagement signals into actionable improvements.
• Proven track record of collaborating with product, design and engineering leadership.
