Associate Consultant / Consultant (Anaesthesia)

About the role

NUHS is recruiting an Associate Consultant or Consultant in Anaesthesia. The role covers anaesthesia, perioperative care and acute pain management, with on-call cover for elective and emergency surgeries across all specialties except cardiac surgery, obstetrics and paediatrics.

Key responsibilities

• Provide anaesthesia, perioperative care and acute pain management services
• Provide on-call cover for elective and emergency surgeries in all specialties except cardiac surgery, obstetrics and paediatrics
• Support educational activities and take part in clinical governance
• Regional anaesthesia is practised extensively; expertise in regional anaesthesia is an advantage

Required profile

• Suitable qualification in Anaesthesia and registration (or eligibility for registration) as a specialist with the Singapore Medical Council
• Conscientious and motivated, with a strong sense of teamwork and ability to organize and prioritize work
• Awareness and respect for the cultural and religious beliefs, dignity, privacy and integrity of colleagues, patients and their relatives
• Physically and mentally capable of carrying out the duties
