Associate Director - Project Management (Data Center)

About the role

Turner & Townsend is hiring an Associate Director in Project Management in Singapore to lead the delivery of complex construction and workplace projects from inception to completion. The role covers strategic planning, stakeholder management, governance and execution, portfolio oversight, team development and business growth, and includes overseeing invoicing processes through D-365.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and develop junior project managers and team members, foster a collaborative team culture and demonstrate inclusive, accountable leadership.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams including clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers, acting as the main client contact and facilitating communication through meetings, reporting and documentation.
• Define project execution strategy, KPIs and governance frameworks for quality, safety, compliance, risk and environmental management.
• Drive executive-level reporting, project controls (schedule, cost, risk, change), design development direction and end-to-end procurement from tender strategy to vendor selection.
• Monitor project budgets and financial performance with the cost management team, manage variations, support commercial negotiations and contract administration, and handle invoicing in D-365.
• Conduct regular site inspections, collaborate with contractors and consultants, and manage permitting and statutory submissions.
• Contribute to business development through proposals, client presentations and market engagement, and capture lessons learned and benchmarking data.
• Plan resources across projects, forecast needs, address skill gaps and balance workloads.

Required profile

• Construction-related degree (e.g. Project Management, Construction Management, Design, Engineering) or equivalent.
• At least 12 years of experience in project management or construction projects (project manager, construction manager, procurement, vendor, consultant roles).
• Strong communication and leadership skills with experience managing people.
• Business acumen and experience in client-facing environments, including value management, value engineering and life cycle costing.
