Associate Engineer, Equipment Engineering (200mm CVD)

About the role

GlobalFoundries, a full-service semiconductor foundry, is looking for an Associate Engineer in Equipment Engineering for its 200mm CVD module in Woodlands, Singapore. The role supports the running of production by keeping equipment ready and fit for use, and involves hands-on work on a 12-hour rotating shift.

Key responsibilities

• Perform 12-hour shifts to support production in the module and ensure equipment readiness and fitness for production.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and calibration on time.
• Assist engineers in installing and hooking up new equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and minimise downtime.
• Help implement equipment improvement projects.
• Take part in the Quality Improvement Team programme, monitoring equipment performance and feeding back to engineers so that module objectives are met.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the production area, following safety practices and keeping tools, equipment and property secure.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical or Microelectronics Engineering.
• 3-6 years of experience in a semiconductor equipment role is preferred.
• Able to perform 12-hour rotating shifts.
