Associate Executive, Education Development Office (GME)

About the role

NHG is seeking an Associate Executive for its Education Development Office (Medicine) to support the office's work on clinical training for junior doctors in KTPH. The role assists the Assistant Designated Institutional Officer, Program Director, Assistant Program Director and Faculty in creating a high-quality learning environment for residency training. It is an initial 1-year full-time contract, with possible renewal depending on performance and needs; fresh diploma graduates interested in training and workforce development are also welcome.

Key responsibilities

• Support clinical training programs, including trainee rotation, on-the-job training, assessment and evaluation, and act as the point of contact for trainee doctors and Faculty
• Handle orientation, collate assessment forms, track training hours and faculty appointments, and ensure evaluations are submitted on time
• Provide secretariat support for meetings with program stakeholders, KTPH EDO department and admin meetings, and coordinate faculty development activities and training courses
• Maintain a filing system for reporting and audit purposes, and engage in process improvements for the EDO
• Monitor resident training and ensure management reports and KPIs are submitted to the Director, NHG GME and bodies such as the MOH
• Assist with examination arrangements and coordinate events such as CPC, visits, briefings and tutorials
• Support event management (workshops, talks) and education technology and e-learning where needed

Required profile

• Diploma holder with at least 2 years of relevant work experience
• A healthcare background is an advantage
• Positive, can-do attitude and quick learner
• Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, attention to detail, independent and organized, able to multi-task
