Associate Manufacturing Science & Technology Engineer

About the role

Alcon is seeking an Associate in Manufacturing Science & Technology Engineering to develop, implement, and evaluate new production materials, equipment, and technologies for eye‑care products. The role blends research, feasibility testing, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure efficient, high‑quality manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Apply technical knowledge to support project goals and perform manufacturing tasks.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate new production materials, equipment, and technologies before mass production.
• Conduct research and technical feasibility tests to solve cost and quality challenges.
• Assess production capacity, design processes, and create standard manufacturing procedures.
• Evaluate and optimise production processes to reduce costs and meet quality standards.
• Select and coordinate with vendors to meet specifications, timelines, and budgets.
• Collaborate with R&D, commercial, and quality teams.
• Follow GxP regulations, SOPs, and maintain accurate documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of project management experience in a medical‑device, pharmaceutical, or related GMP environment.
• Strong technical problem‑solving abilities and good communication skills.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office.
• Good understanding of GMP, GDP, and related regulatory standards.
