Automation Strategy Analyst (NCG)

About the role

Applied Materials is hiring an Automation Strategy Analyst to support robotics and automation initiatives within its global warehouse operations. Based in Singapore, the role contributes to implementing and programme-managing automation systems, working with internal teams and external partners to deliver scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency and throughput.

Key responsibilities

• Support automation solutions for logistics operations such as material handling, sorting and inventory workflows, taking part in feasibility studies, business cases, prototyping and validation testing.
• Act as lead and change champion for global-scale initiatives, working with engineering, operations and IT teams and engaging with external collaborators and vendors.
• Own part of the automation strategy roadmap, its execution and the reporting of results to management, while contributing to the organisation's thought leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Robotics, Automation Engineering or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with robotic arms and end-of-arm tooling.
• Exposure to robotics system integration and testing in operational environments.
• Preferred: familiarity with automation programs in logistics or manufacturing, and experience in automation for large-scale warehouse operations.

Required skills

• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and collaborative settings.
• Preferred: knowledge of robotics programming and simulation tools.
