AWS Network Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AWS Network Engineer to manage and support our enterprise network infrastructure in a 24/7 production environment. You will design, implement, and maintain hybrid connectivity between on‑premises data centers and AWS cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers to ensure high availability.
• Install, configure, and monitor network hardware and software.
• Design and support hybrid connectivity using VPC, VPN, and Direct Connect.
• Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewalls, security groups, and segmentation.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot latency and connectivity issues, and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Coordinate changes through formal change‑management processes.
• Work with telecom providers and vendors for provisioning and issue resolution.
• Support disaster‑recovery, business‑continuity planning, and failover testing.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation, diagrams, and SOPs.
• Provide after‑hours support for critical incidents and planned maintenance.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• At least 3 years of enterprise network engineering or operations experience in hybrid environments.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer – Associate, Check Point or Fortinet are advantageous.

Required skills

• AWS networking (VPC, subnets, route tables, security groups, NACLs, VPN, Direct Connect).
• TCP/IP, Layer 2/Layer 3, routing (BGP, OSPF), switching, DNS, DHCP.
• Enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point) and load balancers.
• Network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, CloudWatch, Wireshark, traceroute).
• Experience with high‑availability, disaster‑recovery and business‑continuity solutions.
