Ballet Dance Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a passionate full‑time Ballet Dance Teacher to deliver high‑quality instruction based on the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus. You will work closely with the school principal and management to support student development and examination success.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and teach assigned ballet classes following the RAD syllabus.
• Stay updated on RAD curriculum changes and adjust class plans accordingly.
• Coach, register and supervise students for RAD examinations.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to the principal.
• Communicate regularly with students and parents about progress.
• Participate in staff, parent meetings and ad‑hoc events such as concerts, workshops, competitions and masterclasses.
• Perform general administrative tasks related to teaching and student matters.

Required profile

• At least a Dance Diploma or a Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS) for RAD.
• Preferably former professional ballet dancer.
• 2–3 years of experience teaching ballet to students of all ages.
• Fluent in English and comfortable working with diverse age groups.
• Motivated, passionate, reliable with a strong work ethic.
