Banquet Manager

About the role

The Banquet Manager will lead the planning and execution of banquet events, ensuring all customer requirements are captured and delivered to the highest standards. This role acts as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams to create memorable experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather event requirements and review Banquet Event Orders.
• Determine appropriate setup, buffet arrangements, audio‑visual equipment and timelines.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to set and achieve revenue targets.
• Develop and manage budgets, sales strategies and market segment plans.
• Oversee day‑to‑day event operations and ensure smooth execution.
• Conduct market research, monitor staff performance and plan route of advancement.
• Work with marketing to craft brand identity, create campaigns and produce collateral.
• Maintain relationships with existing accounts and identify new business opportunities.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in banquets, catering sales or catering services.
• Knowledge of profit and loss statements, food‑wine pairing and menu composition.
• Experience handling wedding events is preferred.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin.
• Strong customer, vendor and team interaction abilities.
