Building Manager – Office Building

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Building Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of a premium office building in Singapore. The role involves leading a team of building executives and external service providers to ensure the property is safe, clean, functional and delivers an exceptional experience for tenants and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage building executives and outsourced service partners (security, cleaning, concierge, landscaping, pest control, etc.).
• Maintain the building to the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, functionality, security and presentation.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve operational procedures, preventive maintenance programmes and service standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of common areas, facilities, car parks, signage and landscaping, ensuring defects are promptly rectified.
• Monitor performance of the building management team and external contractors through audits, inspections and performance reviews.
• Collaborate with the M&E team to ensure building systems and critical infrastructure operate efficiently.
• Prepare, evaluate and administer quotations, tenders and contracts for maintenance, repairs and capital projects.
• Manage annual operating and CAPEX budgets, monitor expenditures and drive cost‑optimisation initiatives.
• Produce management reports, operational analyses, vendor evaluations and risk assessments.
• Oversee defect management, asset lifecycle planning and major repair or upgrade projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing commercial office buildings.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Ability to understand complex building systems and resolve operational issues.
• Excellent analytical and decision‑making skills.
• Good financial acumen for budgeting and cost control.
