Building Specialist

About the role

The Building Specialist will lead building‑related works across multiple sites, ensuring full statutory compliance with the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), Ministry of Education (MOE) and other relevant authorities. The role supports planning, execution and documentation of upgrading, retrofitting and refurbishment projects.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee building works across sites, guaranteeing compliance with BCA, MOE and other regulatory bodies.
• Support planning and execution of upgrading, retrofitting and refurbishment projects.
• Coordinate internal teams, consultants, contractors and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Maintain proper documentation, traceability and records for building works and statutory submissions.
• Assist in cost estimation using approved schedules such as FSR/FSOR where applicable.
• Prepare reports, audit responses and project closure documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Building, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in building works, site coordination or facilities/project management.
• Strong understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements (e.g., BCA, MOE).
• Proven experience supporting upgrading, retrofitting or refurbishment projects.

Required skills

• Cost estimation using approved schedules (e.g., FSR/FSOR).
• Technical document review, including drawings, specifications and authority submissions.
