Business Development Manager – Petrochemicals (South East Asia)

About the role
ICIS is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth of its petrochemical portfolio across South East Asia. Based in Singapore, you will work with a consultative sales approach to win new customers in sectors such as automotive, FMCG, electronics and energy.
Key responsibilities
- Lead business development activities and design acquisition strategies to attract new clients.
- Expand market presence by acquiring customers in the assigned territory and nurturing long‑term relationships.
- Partner with prospects to identify challenges, propose tailored solutions and demonstrate value.
- Navigate organisations to engage relevant stakeholders and manage the sales pipeline from prospecting to closure.
- Deliver value‑led presentations, demos and proposals.
- Maintain accurate customer data in Salesforce and other CRM systems.
Required profile
- Highly self‑motivated and energetic with the ability to build strong relationships quickly.
- Comfortable conducting in‑depth business discussions with senior decision‑makers.
- Results‑driven, detail‑oriented and organized self‑starter.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, especially in cold‑calling scenarios.
- Strong focus on solution selling and value‑based selling.
- Commercially minded with a high motivation to succeed in a high‑performing sales team.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing market and customer needs.
