Business Development Manager – Southeast Asia

About the role

ThoughtFull is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth across Southeast Asia. You will own the enterprise sales pipeline, from prospecting to closing, and work closely with cross‑functional teams to refine the go‑to‑market strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Own and scale the enterprise sales and partnership pipeline (insurance, brokers, TPA) to meet quarterly and annual KPIs.
• Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, qualification, negotiation, closing and contracting.
• Develop strategic business development plans for HR, Benefits and Wellness segments in key markets.
• Enable partner salesforces by providing assets, conducting trainings and collaborating with the Revenue team.
• Iterate target‑persona definitions as the company expands into new markets.
• Partner with Marketing, Client Success, Product, Operations and Clinical teams to optimise go‑to‑market approach.
• Maintain pipeline hygiene, generate insights and forecast performance using CRM tools such as HubSpot and Pipedrive.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of experience in sales and new business development, preferably selling to HR Benefits, Talent Engagement or Talent Development teams.
• Experience working with or alongside insurers is a strong plus.
• Fluent in English and Chinese to support global stakeholders.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in high‑growth or startup environments.
• Confident communicator who builds trust with diverse stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating independently, making decisions amid ambiguity and proactively tackling new challenges.
