Business Manager - Risk, Compliance and Legal (7 Months Fixed Contract)

About the role

Eastspring, a global asset manager with Asia at its core, is hiring a Business Manager for Risk, Compliance and Legal (RCL) on a 7-month fixed-term maternity cover. The role maintains continuity across RCL's strategic, governance and business management agenda and sits as a key member of the RCL Senior Leadership Team (SLT), coordinating cross-functional priorities and supporting effective governance.

Key responsibilities

• Support the CRO and RCL SLT in developing and executing key priorities, plans and KPIs aligned with Eastspring's goals
• Lead cross-functional initiatives that strengthen risk governance, operational resilience and business performance
• Drive innovation and analytics within RCL, and lead functional communications through open forums and dialogue
• Manage the RCL SLT governance rhythm, including agenda planning, materials preparation, action tracking and escalation of material issues to the CRO and RCL SLT
• Coordinate Board papers and executive communications, deliver ad-hoc projects on behalf of the CRO and RCL SLT, and represent RCL in committees, projects and cross-functional meetings

Required profile

• More than 10 years in similar or mixed relevant roles
• At least 5 years' experience in asset management, highly desirable
• Proven track record of leading projects and functional initiatives to successful completion
• Ability to anticipate issues, manage competing cross-functional priorities and resolve conflicts diplomatically
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence and build relationships across the organisation
