Business Performance & Investment Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Business Performance & Investment Analyst to support strategic decision‑making across our portfolio of businesses and investments. The role involves evaluating performance, conducting financial and investment analysis, and delivering insights that drive profitability and long‑term value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse the financial and operational performance of business units and investment assets.
• Develop and maintain financial models, budgets, forecasts, and performance dashboards.
• Evaluate investment opportunities through financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, and risk assessment.
• Prepare investment papers, business cases, and presentations for senior management.
• Analyse key performance indicators, identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Support strategic planning, capital allocation, and portfolio management initiatives.
• Conduct market, industry, and competitor research to inform decisions.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and business leaders to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Monitor post‑investment performance and recommend strategies to maximise returns.
• Assist with M&A, joint ventures, and other strategic projects as required.
• Develop scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate outcomes.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports with actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field.
• 3‑4 years of experience in investment analysis, corporate finance, private equity, consulting, commercial finance or business performance analysis.
• Strong commercial acumen, high integrity and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Preferred: CFA, CA, CPA, MBA or progress towards one.
• Experience in hospitality, food & beverage, retail or real estate is a plus.
