Buyer – Procurement & Supply Chain (Manufacturing)

About the role

AEM Holdings Ltd. is seeking a Buyer to support procurement and supply‑chain activities for its manufacturing operations. The role involves managing end‑to‑end purchasing, ensuring timely material availability, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to maintain production continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Raise and manage purchase orders, chase and expedite deliveries to avoid production delays.
• Utilise SAP MM for PO creation, tracking, goods receipt monitoring and vendor record maintenance.
• Work within MRP systems to align procurement with production schedules and inventory control.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external legal/regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Finance, Engineering and Logistics to understand requirements and provide timely procurement support.
• Proactively prevent stockouts, mitigate supply risks and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Generate purchasing reports, analyse data and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• At least 3 years of manufacturing purchasing experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with SAP, especially MRP.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
• Aggressive follow‑up and problem‑solving attitude, able to perform under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
