Career Coach

About the role

This role supports NTU Education 2025 and beyond as part of the Career & Attachment Office's (CAO) strategy to turn NTU students into future-ready graduates. As Career Coach and Career Business Partner to Schools and Colleges, you guide, coach and empower undergraduate and postgraduate students in their self-discovery, career exploration and professional development, improving their employability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 personalised career coaching and small group coaching.
• Guide students in exploring their career preferences, strengths, values and interests.
• Administer self-assessment and career profiling tools where needed.
• Coach students through early career exploration and planning over the 4 years at NTU.
• Share information and resources on job search, resume writing, interview skills and industry frameworks.
• Run mandatory ML0004 small group resume critique and mock interview sessions.
• Coach students on internship and job search strategies.
• Engage students, student groups and faculty in career awareness and preparation.
• Design school-specific career initiatives such as talks, alumni sharing sessions and bespoke workshops.
• Act as point of contact for schools' leadership and take part in outreach programmes such as Career Day.

Required profile

• A recognised degree with 9 to 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years in career coaching, counselling, career services, graduate recruitment, HR, executive search, learning and development or similar.
• Relevant career coaching certification(s).
• Qualifications or certification in self-assessment and career profiling tools.
• Knowledge of industries, workplaces and employer expectations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, active listening, critical thinking and organisation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools.
