Category Manager (Manufacturing)

About the role

Carrier Global Corporation, a global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, is looking for a seasoned Supply Chain Management professional to act as Category Manager (Manufacturing). The role manages supply chain projects, works toward cost-reduction targets and operational goals, and engages stakeholders and vendors to support the supply chain strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior management across supply chain disciplines in identifying gaps in processes and implementations.
• Oversee cost reduction projects and work with the Container PMO to implement them, including NPI and outsourcing projects.
• Support the implementation of identified processes and monitor progress to closure.
• Identify opportunities for cost reductions and drive the Category team to meet the Material Productivity Target.
• Own the Productivity Savings Report and its data analysis, and analyse spend data by business segment.
• Engage the Regional PMO and Category leaders, and work with Finance on the yearly STD update.
• Contribute to monthly operation reviews, material productivity reviews, quarterly business reviews, annual plans and long-range plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain (project management).
• Demonstrated project management skills and experience.
• Strong business acumen on inventory, revenue, units and margin.
