CE Product Yield Enhancement Engineer

About the role

Micron Technology is looking for a highly motivated CE Product Yield Enhancement Engineer to join the NAND Central Engineering – Product Yield Enhancement (PYE) team. In this role you will provide fault isolation and failure analysis support for new device introductions, qualifications, and test failures, working closely with product, process, test, and quality teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform sophisticated electrical device characterization to identify failure mechanisms.
• Operate fault‑isolation equipment, including nProbing, to localize electrical defects and support physical failure analysis.
• Conduct physical failure analysis to classify defects and determine root causes.
• Develop hypotheses on electrical or process failure mechanisms based on detailed models and analysis.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams from front‑end to back‑end and Global Quality to resolve defectivity issues.
• Prepare and present weekly reports on electrical and physical failure mechanisms.
• Innovate new fault‑isolation and physical‑failure analysis techniques.
• Lead and mentor a team of CE PYE technicians.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical, Electronic, or Semiconductor Engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a collaborative mindset.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex information.
• Highly motivated with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
• Willingness to support shift rotation as needed.
