Chef (Japanese Cuisine) – 5‑Day Work Week

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Cook/Chef to join our 18‑seat Japanese restaurant in the heart of Singapore. You will work in a small, fast‑paced kitchen that serves set meals during the day and switches to an Izakaya‑style menu in the evening.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook Japanese set meals for lunch service following clear recipes.
• Assist in the transition to the evening Izakaya menu, ensuring timely delivery.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety standards.
• Support inventory checks and basic stock rotation.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver consistent quality and guest satisfaction.

Required profile

• Fresh or entry‑level candidate with a genuine interest in culinary work.
• Responsible, reliable, and eager to learn new techniques.
• Comfortable working in a small, high‑energy kitchen environment.
• Ability to follow detailed cooking procedures.

Required skills

• Japanese cuisine (preferred but not mandatory).
• Basic food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety practices.
