Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

About the role

The Chief Executive Officer will lead POKKA Group, defining its strategic direction and ensuring sustainable growth. Reporting to the board, the CEO works closely with the C‑suite to achieve both financial and non‑financial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate the organisation’s vision, mission and strategic goals aligned with SAPPORO Group policies.
• Set market, category and product strategies for short‑ and long‑term growth, adapting as needed.
• Implement ROIC management, drive financial performance and meet P&L and ROIC targets.
• Oversee operational processes, monitor KPIs and ensure efficient execution.
• Build an effective organisational structure, foster a high‑performance culture and develop senior leadership capabilities.
• Stay attuned to market trends, promote innovation and maintain a “field‑oriented” mindset.
• Establish risk‑management policies, identify potential risks and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Manage relationships with internal departments, subsidiaries, key vendors, and government authorities.
• Serve as the primary liaison between POKKA Group and headquarters in Japan, with moderate Japanese language proficiency preferred.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Extensive executive‑level experience, preferably in FMCG and the beverage industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements (P/L, B/S, C/F).
• Proven ability to lead teams in complex, changing environments and deliver value‑added results.
• Experience managing cross‑functional initiatives and stakeholder relationships.
