Civil and Structural Design Engineer

About the role

VB+E PTE. LTD. is seeking a Civil and Structural Design Engineer to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient engineering solutions for building projects in Singapore. The role combines traditional design responsibilities with the adoption of AI‑driven and BIM workflows to enhance productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare civil and structural designs that meet project requirements, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Explore and implement AI‑driven workflows across design, analysis, documentation, and coordination.
• Participate in BIM processes to improve design coordination, accuracy, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Coordinate and monitor authority submissions to support timely approvals.
• Conduct design reviews and site inspections to verify quality and alignment with design intent.
• Prepare engineering design reports, technical documentation, and project records.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, and clients to develop practical design solutions and resolve technical issues.
• Identify opportunities to transform conventional workflows into data‑driven, technology‑enabled processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering recognised by PEB, or relevant diploma with design experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in building design.
• Good understanding of local codes and authority submission procedures.
• Motivated team player with a strong interest in continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

Required skills

• Proficiency in engineering design software.
• Automation tools and BIM platforms.
• Experience with AI‑driven design workflows.
• Knowledge of composite, precast concrete, or steel design (preferred).
