Civil & Structural Engineer (Senior)

About the role

COENS ENERGY is seeking an experienced Civil & Structural Engineer to lead the design and construction of industrial facilities across Singapore. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with local authorities, and deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Design and construct concrete, steel, and precast structural systems for industrial projects.
• Oversee tendering, detailed design, shop‑drawing reviews and construction management.
• Coordinate with architectural, process, mechanical, electrical and quantity surveying teams.
• Resolve design‑related site issues and liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Prepare, issue and evaluate tender packages and subcontract documentation.
• Mentor junior civil and structural engineers.
• Ensure timely submissions and approvals from local authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s advantageous).
• Proven experience in industrial building projects, including reinforced concrete, steel, precast structures and long‑span roof trusses.
• Knowledge of piling, substructure and superstructure works.
• Experience in tendering, detailed design and multidisciplinary project coordination.
• Familiarity with local authority submission requirements and international codes.
• Willingness to travel when required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in structural design software such as STAAD, Pro, Prokon, Orion or equivalent tools.
• Strong understanding of civil and structural engineering principles and construction methodologies.
