Reclamation Worker – Marine Construction

About the role

The Reclamation Worker will lead marine construction activities, overseeing the building of marine structures and coordinating all sea‑based logistics. This position ensures projects meet technical, safety, and environmental standards while delivering progress on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise marine construction operations, including marine structure building.
• Coordinate barges, pontoons, cranes, workboats, and sea‑based material delivery logistics.
• Compile and submit daily/weekly progress updates to the project manager and stakeholders.
• Lead site mobilisation and marine set‑up works such as temporary access routes, work platforms, staging zones, and turbidity control systems.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, QA/QC, environmental standards and marine regulations.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, marine personnel and specialist vendors.
• Prepare and review technical submissions including method statements, risk assessments, lifting plans and marine coordination documentation.
• Liaise with consultants, regulatory authorities and internal departments for permits, inspections and approvals.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant site experience in marine construction.
• Experience in caisson works, marine heavy lifting operations and construction planning/scheduling.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD for preparing construction plans.
• Experience with marine plant and equipment operations.
• Strong knowledge of temporary works and quantity calculations.
• Ability to develop method statements, risk assessments and lifting plans.
