Cleaning Equipment Technician – Changi Airport

About the role

The Cleaning Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of cleaning machines used throughout Changi Airport. You will ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently, supporting the airport’s high standards of cleanliness.

Key responsibilities

• Service and repair cleaning equipment such as high‑pressure jets, leaf blowers, scrubbing machines, vacuum cleaners and battery‑operated carts.
• Inspect and assess functionality of cleaning machines, performing routine maintenance and safety checks.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and conduct preventive maintenance.
• Prepare and submit maintenance reports, including inspection findings.
• Liaise with external vendors for equipment repairs and follow up on fault rectification.
• Monitor quality standards of cleaning chemicals, equipment and tools.
• Perform asset tagging to ensure equipment accountability.
• Handle any ad‑hoc assignments related to equipment upkeep.

Required profile

• Minimum NITEC/Higher NITEC in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in maintenance and repair of mechanical or electrical equipment is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment faults and perform preventive maintenance.
• Basic computer skills for report preparation and record keeping.
• Responsible, hands‑on, and able to work independently.
• Willingness to work at Changi Airport.
