Client Manager & Construction Auditor

About the role

The Client Manager / Auditor will conduct on‑site audits of management systems for construction and related industries, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and ESG requirements. The role combines client relationship management with technical audit expertise to support certification decisions and promote BSI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake ISO and ESG management system audits in accordance with BSI procedures.
• Prepare and deliver audit reports, explaining findings and corrective actions to clients.
• Recommend issuance, re‑issuance, or withdrawal of certificates based on audit outcomes.
• Lead audit teams, brief members, and maintain high service quality.
• Develop and sustain commercial relationships with clients, identifying business development opportunities.
• Provide accurate information to the customer service team and keep client records up to date.
• Coach and induct new colleagues, supporting continuous skill development.
• Act as a BSI brand ambassador, promoting ethical conduct and BSI services.

Required profile

• Auditor experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and sustainability standards (e.g., ISO 14064‑1, ISO 50001).
• Work experience in at least two of the following sectors: construction, chemical, engineering, mechanical, electrical (construction preferred).
• Knowledge of ESG and GHG auditing is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
• Self‑motivated, flexible, with excellent time‑management skills.
