Client Services and Data Management Intern

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is offering a Client Services and Data Management internship within its Global Corporate Banking Division Asia - Middle Office Department, based in Singapore. The internship runs from 11 January 2027 to 30 June 2027 and gives hands-on exposure to corporate banking operations, client servicing and relationship management support. The intern works closely with Relationship Managers to support day-to-day business transactions for large local corporates and multinational companies, gaining practical experience across banking products, trade settlement and client data management.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily corporate banking transactions such as deposits, loans and trade finance, covering transaction booking, client handling, documentation review, funding confirmation and preparation of instruction sheets for back office processing.
• Assist with transaction settlement by monitoring inflows and outflows, identifying settlement issues and coordinating with stakeholders for timely resolution.
• Support customer data maintenance, including static data, contact information and business condition updates, and understand maker-checker discipline and data quality controls.
• Support MO-CSDM initiatives, including stakeholder communication, status tracking, follow-up on deliverables and periodic progress updates.

Required profile

• Open to Singaporean and PR students only; the internship is open to students from partner universities in Singapore.
• Client-focused, detail-oriented and able to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Able to work independently, manage several tasks and perform well under time pressure.
• High attention to detail, patience and a strong sense of responsibility when handling client and transaction matters.
