Clinical Sample Processor I

About the role

ICON is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation. This Clinical Sample Processor I position is office-based at the Singapore ICON Lab (30 Loyang Way) and works 5 days a week on a duty roster including Saturdays and public holidays, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with no night shifts. Double pay applies for public holiday duties.

Key responsibilities

• Receive daily shipments of samples and materials, assess them on arrival and enter data in ICON's Lab Database
• Store samples according to protocol specifications and maintain sample and shipment documentation in appropriate files
• Perform quality checks of controlled forms, scan paperwork, archive visits and other regulated documentation
• Barcode label specimens, validate them and transport them to laboratory technicians for analysis
• Prepare sample shipments according to the shipment schedule, including documentation, and coordinate courier collections with Logistics
• Quality check shipments to ensure the correct samples are included and accompanied by documentation
• Ship samples to other ICL locations or referral laboratories per protocol requirements
• Document and research problems with received specimens and escalate issues to senior team members
• Carry out additional Sample Management tasks as requested by management

Required profile

• Singapore citizen or permanent resident
• Diploma degree
• Internship or work experience receiving daily shipments of samples and assessing them
• Legal right to work in Singapore

Required skills

• Basic computer working knowledge
• Accuracy and attention to detail
