Laboratory Assistant

About the role

ICON, a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation, is hiring a full-time, permanent Laboratory Assistant for its Loyang office in Singapore. The role supports the clinical laboratory team, handling samples, data entry and clerical tasks alongside the pathologists.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor samples and troubleshoot discrepancies
• Consolidate created samples and containers such as slides, blocks and reports
• Search for and retrieve documents and samples
• Perform data entry and monitor e-mails and correspondence
• Check that slides and blocks are properly barcoded and labelled
• Assist pathologists with technical and clerical work
• Monitor reagent, QC and calibrator stocks

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (preferred) or diploma plus 1 year of related experience in a clinical laboratory
• Legal right to work in Singapore
• Ability to handle large workloads and troubleshoot issues promptly
• Time management, attention to detail and accurate record keeping in line with GCP/GLP/GDP

Required skills

• Basic computer and Microsoft Office knowledge
• Excellent written and verbal communication
