About the role

NUHS Diagnostics is hiring a Clinical Support Assistant on a 1-year contract. The role covers phlebotomy and related tests in a laboratory setting, with a focus on accuracy, patient safety and good documentation.

Key responsibilities

Provide fast, skillful and accurate blood collection using venipuncture, capillary and heel-prick methods
Perform phlebotomy, ECG and spirometry accurately, efficiently and professionally
Keep the work area clean and tidy and comply with infection control guidelines
Ensure two identifiers are used for every patient before testing
Maintain proper documentation for traceability and follow good documentation practices
Comply with workplace safety, hand hygiene and other regulatory and accreditation requirements of the laboratory
Provide prompt and courteous service to patients, doctors and vendors over the counter or by phone

Required profile

Recognised N/O level, ITE certificate or diploma in Biomedical Sciences, Nursing, Health Sciences, or a Certificate in Phlebotomy
At least 2-5 years of experience performing phlebotomy in a fast-paced environment
