Cloud Engineer (1-year renewable contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our team on a 1‑year renewable contract. The role focuses on building, maintaining and optimizing AWS infrastructure for development, UAT and production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provision, configure and maintain AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, ALB/NLB, EBS, IAM and Route 53.
• Implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform across all environments.
• Monitor system performance with CloudWatch and CloudWatch Logs Insights, and respond to alerts.
• Assist in incident triage, root‑cause analysis and documentation of runbooks.
• Manage IAM policies, security‑group audits and access‑control best practices.
• Support deployment and troubleshooting of endpoint security tools like CrowdStrike Falcon.
• Perform backup and recovery operations using AWS Backup.
• Execute patch management and routine health checks for Linux and Windows servers.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, application and networking issues promptly.
• Maintain technical documentation, including SOPs and architecture diagrams.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, systems administration or a related technical role.
• AWS Cloud Practitioner certification.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (subnets, routing, DNS).
• Basic Linux administration skills.
• Awareness of cost optimisation and cloud security best practices.
