College Intern - Procurement/Sourcing Engineer

About the role

HP is looking for a College Intern in Procurement/Sourcing Engineering in Singapore. The intern supports supplier capability assessments, technical evaluations, qualification activities and sourcing recommendations, working with internal procurement, engineering, quality and supplier teams to solve sourcing and quality challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze supplier capability assessments, technical evaluations, qualification activities and sourcing recommendations.
• Research category and supplier landscapes, technology trends, raw-material cost drivers and supply risks, including should-cost models based on materials, manufacturing processes, tooling and logistics.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization, value engineering, alternative materials and process improvements.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Science.
• Ability to commit to a 5 to 6-month full-time internship starting in January 2027.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Ability to apply engineering knowledge to resolve materials-related issues, specifications, manufacturing processes, supplier capabilities, cost and quality evaluation.
• Ability to turn technical, supplier, cost and quality data into clear, actionable sourcing recommendations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of materials and components used in thermal inkjet cartridges (added advantage).
• Experience deploying AI-powered agents for category research (added advantage).
• Familiarity with quality tools such as 5 Whys, Pareto analysis, 8D, FMEA, DOE and SPC.
• Experience with analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI and Excel.
• Experience with AI and AI-powered agent workflows (added advantage).
