Collibra Data Lineage Engineer

About the role

The Engineer will work closely with the Japanese Bank’s Data Management Office, Data Governance Team and technical teams across data integration and core banking to design and implement data lineage solutions using Collibra.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, configure and deploy technical and business data lineage workflows in Collibra.
• Implement Collibra Data Catalog, Business Glossary, custom domains and operating model.
• Build and optimise Collibra workflows using BPMN and the Workflow Designer.
• Integrate Collibra with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Talend, dbt, Airflow) and data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, Oracle).
• Connect Collibra to core banking systems (CASA, Trade, Treasury, Payments, Channels) and automate metadata ingestion.
• Map end‑to‑end lineage from source systems through transformations to consumption layers.
• Support the bank’s DMO in meeting MAS and BCBS 239 governance requirements.
• Maintain business glossary, data dictionary and ownership models, performing metadata quality checks.
• Engage with governance, compliance, risk and technology stakeholders, providing SME guidance and reporting progress.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of hands‑on experience with Collibra (catalog, lineage, glossary, workflow).
• Strong understanding of metadata models, data governance frameworks and regulatory standards (MAS 610/649, BCBS 239).
• Functional knowledge of banking and financial services systems such as CASA, loan, trade, treasury and payments.
• Proven ability to communicate with senior stakeholders and document technical solutions.
