Commissioning Engineer – 1‑Year Contract

About the role

The Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for the installation, start‑up and commissioning of generators, pump sets and marine propulsion engines across vessel, offshore and land projects. The role is based onsite in the Benoi sector of Jurong West and may involve travel overseas for commissioning assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct application and installation inspections at job sites.
• Liaise with customers and project engineers to ensure smooth hand‑over.
• Prepare, start‑up and commission generators, pump sets and marine propulsion engines.
• Support workshop mechanical and electrical works, including testing of generators and rental operations as required.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in power‑generation packaging for industrial, marine, electric power or oil & gas sectors.
• Experience with Caterpillar engines is preferred.
• Willingness to travel overseas for commissioning projects.

Required skills

• Knowledge of generators control, synchronization and parallel operation.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical system drawings.
• Familiarity with Caterpillar engine platforms.
