Commodity Manager, Electronics PCB

About the role

WD is seeking a Commodity Manager to lead the global supply strategy for electronics printed circuit boards (PCB). The role partners with engineering, operations, and R&D to secure cost‑effective, reliable components that enable AI‑driven data infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain global commodity strategies and sourcing roadmaps for PCB components.
• Lead supplier selection processes, including RFI/RFP/RFQ issuance and long‑term agreement negotiations.
• Drive supplier segmentation, quarterly business reviews, and corrective action plans.
• Deliver measurable cost savings, cost avoidance, and productivity improvements.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to capacity, supply continuity, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed design‑to‑cost and innovation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supplier management.
• Proven track record of global supplier negotiations and strategic sourcing.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to model costs.
• Excellent executive‑level relationship management skills.
