Commodity Manager (Manufacturing)

About the role

We are representing our client in the Aerospace industry to hire a Commodity Manager responsible for sourcing raw metals and related components across Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Own, develop and execute sourcing strategy for raw metals, castings, forgings, machined components, fabricated parts, and engineered assemblies across Asia.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiations, contract management, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Drive supplier performance in quality, delivery, cost, and capacity.
• Partner with engineering, operations, and quality teams on sourcing, NPI, and productivity projects.
• Mitigate supply risks and support supply continuity through supplier development and market analysis.

Required profile

• Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Proven experience in commodity/category management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of raw materials, metalworking, machining, fabrication, casting, or forging supply chains.
• Track record of supplier negotiations, cost savings, and supplier performance management.
• Strong stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience managing suppliers across Asia preferred.
• Business travel required up to 15-25%.
