Commodity Trade Finance Intern

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is recruiting a Commodity Trade Finance intern within its Asian Investment Banking Division, ECA, Commodities & Trade Finance department. The internship runs from 11 January 2027 to 30 June 2027 and is based in Singapore. It is open to Singaporean and PR students only, and partners with several local universities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial analysis as part of credit application proposals.
• Partner with front-office Relationship Managers to understand banking products and structured financing.
• Prepare a research paper on a commodity-related industry to complement the credit application proposal.
• Provide marketing support to Relationship Managers for transactions.
• Support ad-hoc projects for the team, including client onboarding and KYC-related work.

Required profile

• Background in accounting, finance and/or business administration.
• Singaporean or PR student status.

Required skills

• Fundamental understanding of accounting and financial analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Well-versed in business writing.
