Compliance Associate

About the role

Neuberger Berman Singapore Pte. Limited is hiring a Compliance Associate in Singapore to join the regional compliance team covering the Asia Pacific region (excluding China, Japan and Korea). The role reports to a senior compliance team member in Singapore and focuses on routine compliance monitoring for Neuberger Singapore, while supporting the regional compliance risk management framework and working with the legal team.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine monitoring checks so that daily activities follow internal policies and relevant laws
• Help keep the compliance program up to date with regulations, company policies and industry best practice
• Track regulatory updates and help prepare for regulatory inspections, reviews and reporting
• Check that client onboarding background and eligibility checks (identity verification, source of funds) are complete and current
• Support internal communications and training materials on compliance policies
• Review marketing materials and due diligence requests before release
• Gather and organise information during audits
• Provide general administrative and project support to the Compliance team

Required profile

• Polytechnic diploma (business, law or finance preferred, not required); recent graduates welcome, no experience needed
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English; reasonable Mandarin is preferred
• Strong interpersonal, analytical and organisational skills, able to multi-task under pressure
• Able to work independently and in a small team, self-motivated and willing to learn

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365
