Contract & Commercial Manager – Construction

About the role

The Contract / Commercial Manager will lead the contractual and commercial aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance, profitability and smooth stakeholder collaboration. This permanent position is based in the West – Pioneer area and reports to senior project leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, sub‑contracts and agreements with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Maintain up‑to‑date contract documentation and correspondence.
• Prepare and submit claims, variations and extension‑of‑time requests, and negotiate settlements.
• Track cost performance and safeguard project profitability.
• Identify contractual risks, recommend mitigation strategies and ensure legal compliance.
• Advise project teams on contractual rights, duties and liabilities.
• Support project managers in resolving commercial and contractual issues.
• Conduct regular stakeholder meetings and produce periodic contract management reports.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Law or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of contract management experience in road construction, civil works or infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record in claims preparation, dispute resolution and cost control.
• Strong negotiation, communication and analytical abilities.
