Cost Manager - Project & Development Services

About the role

JLL's Project & Development Services team is looking for a Cost Manager based on-site in Singapore. You will work alongside the team to support projects from tendering through design phases to construction and completion, covering fit-outs and refurbishments for tenants and landlords across commercial, retail, industrial, hospitality and education sectors. Several projects run concurrently, so you will coordinate with multiple vendors to avoid downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare tender pricing and cost estimations, source quotations, evaluate costs and prepare cost comparisons
• Produce high-level pre-tender estimates in a short turnaround
• Review tender documents, specifications and drawings to take off quantities
• Discuss cost changes and adjustments with engineers, architects, designers, owners, contractors and subcontractors
• Compile bills of quantity, tender documents and amendments, and submit tender bids
• Negotiate prices with suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
• Evaluate contracts and subcontracts, and handle other contract administration with clients and vendors
• Maintain cost monitoring and reporting systems, and prepare purchase orders and verify supplier invoices for payment
• Manage procurement through JLL's cloud-based platform, research suppliers, and onboard and pre-qualify vendors to JLL standards while expanding the vendor pool
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers, contractors and subcontractors

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in a relevant field, and/or at least one to two years' experience as a QS in an interior design, D&B or contractor firm or a similar position
• Experience in interior fit-out works preferred
• Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines
