Crewing Manager

About the role

DOEHLE Shipmanagement is seeking a Crewing Manager to lead its crewing function in Singapore. You will be responsible for ensuring vessels are fully manned with qualified seafarers while aligning crewing objectives with the company’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily crewing operations, including recruitment, deployment, scheduling, rotations and retention.
• Monitor crewing KPIs, prepare quarterly reports and manage budgets, forecasts and wage structures.
• Lead, motivate and develop the crewing team, identifying training needs and conducting performance reviews.
• Support seafarer development through promotion, appraisal, re‑employment and competency enhancement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, company procedures, contractual obligations, PDPA and cyber‑security requirements.
• Maintain relationships with crew agencies, third‑party managers, customers and other stakeholders; support emergency response and manage documentation.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in crew management within the shipping industry, including leadership responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of international maritime regulations, crewing standards and vessel manning requirements.
• Fluent written and spoken English for global communication.
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (M365) for reporting, KPI tracking, budgeting and documentation.
