C&S Resident Technical Officer

About the role

We are seeking a C&S Resident Technical Officer to support the Job Manager on site, ensuring technical and design issues are addressed and projects are delivered safely and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Job Manager with technical and design issues and report them promptly.
• Provide standing supervision as directed by the Consultant team.
• Review construction drawings and highlight any discrepancies before installation works begin.
• Ensure all works follow approved drawings and specifications.
• Enforce adequate safety precautions on site.
• Resolve site issues to achieve timely project completion.
• Attend site meetings, inspections, testing and commissioning.
• Maintain accurate site records.

Required profile

• ITE certificate or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution.
• Accredited with IES‑ACES Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) and holding a valid RTO Practising Certificate.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Resident Technical Officer with strong knowledge of building structures and basement works.
• Preferable experience in high‑rise construction with precast elements or basement works.
