Culinary Work-Study Position

About the role

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our kitchen team in Singapore on a work‑study basis. The role provides hands‑on experience in food preparation and cooking within a leading hotel brand.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling and storing fresh produce.
• Weigh, measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and quality standards.
• Cook and assemble hot and cold dishes, ensuring proper presentation and portion control.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely.
• Monitor food quality, test doneness and adjust cooking times as needed.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work station, including washing tools, knives and equipment.
• Check and record appliance and food temperatures.
• Follow company safety, security and hygiene policies, reporting any issues to the manager.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb.
• Willingness to work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
